Lyrical Spell Magazine is dedicated to covering the best in metal and rock music. From symphonic metal to hard rock and everything in between, we bring you thoughtful album reviews, single reviews, artist portraits, and exclusive interviews. New reviews are posted on a weekly basis, written by our passionate team of contributors.
We believe in giving every release a fair and informed listen. Our reviews span both major-label releases and independent artists, with coverage of bands working with partners such as Nuclear Blast, Scarlet Records, Frontiers, STF Records, All-Noir, and Jolly Roger Store.

Based in the Netherlands. Favourite bands include Nightwish, Arch Enemy, Kamelot, and Delain. When not writing, Tamar can be found reading, listening to music, attending concerts, or playing guitar.
How We Select & Review Music
We listen widely and choose albums and singles that we believe deserve attention — whether from established names or emerging artists. Our reviews aim to be honest, detailed, and grounded in genuine enthusiasm for the music.
We welcome submissions from artists and labels. Physical CDs are preferred for review consideration, as they allow us to experience the music and packaging as intended. Due to the volume of requests, we cannot guarantee a reply to every submission, but we read and consider everything we receive.
